This is an awesome song by Chris Tomlin
In our hearts, Lord, in this nation
Awakening
Holy Spirit, we desire
Awakening
For You and You alone
Awake my soul, awake my soul and sing
For the world You love
Your will be done, let Your will be done in me
In Your presence, in Your power
Awakening
For this moment, for this hour
Awakening
For You and You alone
Awake my soul, awake my soul and sing
For the world You love
Your will be done, let Your will be done in me
Like the rising sun that shines
From the darkness comes a light
I hear Your voice and this is my

Awakening
Like the rising sun that shines
Awake my soul, awake my soul and sing
From the darkness comes a light
Awake my soul, awake my soul and sing
Like the rising sun that shines
Awake my soul, awake my soul and sing
Only You can raise a life
Awake my soul, awake my soul and sing
The last Masterlife Class was particularly thought-provoking and very challenging.
Many people in this world are seeking for wisdom. But what IS true wisdom?
“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written : “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”
There is a difference between the wisdom of the wise or the intelligence of the intelligent compared to the wisdom and power of God through Christ.
Earthly wisdom - is that which we gain through our own experiences, our mistakes, our study.
Godly wisdom - is that which exists even before the earth was formed! (See Proverbs 8:24-36) and continues to exist even after the earth is gone.
Godly wisdom, requires us to follow Christ’s example. Godly wisdom also can seem like foolishness to the rest who uses earthly wisdom.
His example, wasn’t one that was glamorous, or one that hoards treasures for Himself. It wasn’t one that puts His own comfort or own convenience before the needs of others.
It was one that required Him to say “not my will, but Yours be done”. It was one that required Him to have an unconditional love towards the ones least deserving and dying for them in the most terrible death imaginable.
1 Corinthians 1:30 states “It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God - that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.”
So Godly wisdom can be summed up from James 3:17 :
- Pure
- Peace-loving
- Considerate
- Submissive
- Full of mercy and good fruit
- Impartial
- Sincere
Of course, in choosing to follow the way of Christ, it also means that the decisions or path chosen is contrary to what the human reasoning or thinking would dictate.Shakespeare wrote that we are all fools in love… Perhaps, the greatest ‘fool’ is the one who is in love with One he cannot see? Yet one of these greatest ‘fool’s wrote that “he is no fool who gives what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose”
Mercy Me’s song, Crazy, sums it up and hits it on the nail ~
Why would I spend my life longing for the day that it would end..
Why would I spend my time pointing to another man..
Isn’t that crazy
How can I find hope in dying, with promises unseen..
How can I learn your way is better
In everything I’m taught to be..
Isn’t that crazy
I have not been called to the wisdom of this world..
But to a God who’s calling out to me..
And even though the world may think
I’m losing touch with reality
It would be crazy
To choose this world over eternity
And if I boast let me boast
Of filthy rags made clean
And if I glory let me glory
In my Savior’s suffering
Isn’t that crazy
And as I live this daily life
I trust you for everything
And I will only take a step
When I feel You leading me
Isn’t that crazy
I have not been called to the wisdom of this world..
But to a God who is calling out to me..
And even though the world my think
I’m losing touch with reality
It would be crazy
To choose this world over eternity
Isn’t it crazy indeed?
Question to self : How willing am I to let go of everything I hold dear, to strive for this ONE pursuit?
